Welcome to the 2019 High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Workshop, Valencia.

Balnearios Las Arenas Hotel, September 25-27 2019

The IAS Sponsored HDL Workshops have been running for more than 20 years and are the pinnacle of the meetings calendar for those with an interest in HDL. Having run 7 times previously in varied locations around the globe including Crete (2004), Santorini (2007), Whistler British Columbia (2010), and Rome (2014), this the 8th Meeting will be held in the fabulous city of Valencia, Spain, from September 25-27 in 2019.

While significant advances have been made in what we know about HDL, there is still much to understand and to learn from our global colleagues, and it is timely to revisit the discussion in this unique forum.

The aims of this meeting are to provide an opportunity to consider and discuss the latest advances and identify key areas that require further development. The program is wide ranging and provides many opportunities for interactions between the delegates. The program has been developed by an international advisory board of experts across the globe, and will cover a wide range of topics, from HDL structure, function and metabolism, infection and immunity, genetics and genomics, through to anti-diabetic properties of HDL and the possibilities of HDL as a vehicle for targeted drug delivery among others.

In addition to sharing ideas and discoveries over these three days, we will have the added bonus of being in a unique and beautiful city!
We look forward to welcoming you to Valencia for a truly excellent meeting.
